I awoke this morning to the most unsual sound--disgruntled traffic right outside my window. We live on a main road, downtown, so this might not be so unusual, except no one ever revs their engine for five minutes straight, or does something so unpolite as to illict honks from cars for what seems like an extended time. About to get up and see what the commotion was, my phone rang. Dara was calling to tell me to get my ass up to see the annual Motorcylce Toy Drive. Thousands of motorcylces drive through the city, each with a toy, or having previously made a monetary donation, and they bring them to a collection point where they are then brough to local hospitals and charities. It seems that even when vehicular operators are disgruntled in Olympia, it is for a very very good cause.
