THEY SAY ITS NICE THIS TIME OF YEAR IN ANCHORAGE
Though we arrived late night Friday we decided to rise with the sun Saturday morning to get in the most alaska viewing as possible. Luckily, wintertime in alaska means the sun is up at 10am!! Off we went to explore the local MTS. Had we been feeling adventerous we probably would have hiked a bit, but instead, jenny took us to the top of FLAT TOP mt, and we took a mini walk to see the view! This really was the coldest place we experienced with a little snow, and some whipping winds. SIDENOTE: our 40 hours in alaska were record breakingly warm (i.e. they haven't had such warm weather at this time of year since the 1930s!!!)We took some pictures, wandered a round a bit, and then, inappropriately dressed as we were, headed back to the car.
